Software & app
What is test and tag software?
Test and tag software records the results of electrical appliance testing, prints test tags, and generates the compliance reports Australian workplaces need under AS/NZS 3760. Clevermode goes further by also managing jobs, assets, customers, invoices, forms and signatures — so it runs the whole business, not just the testing.
What devices does Clevermode run on?
The Clevermode app runs on iOS and Android phones and tablets. Clevermode Reports, our desktop reporting software, runs on Windows and Mac.
Can several technicians share one account?
Yes. Clevermode supports multiple users on one account, so your team can test on different sites at the same time with all results stored together.
Can I put my own logo on tags and reports?
Yes — and you can store multiple logos. If you work across different companies or divisions, swap logos instantly from the app.
How do I get my data out?
Export CSV spreadsheets for Excel at any time, or generate professional PDF reports through Clevermode Reports for Windows and Mac.
Kit & equipment
What's included in the Clevermode test and tag kit?
The KEW6205 PRO portable appliance tester with all leads, the Clevermode ribbon-free tag printer, Clevermode app access, and a travel bag.
What makes the KEW6205 PRO different from other testers?
One-button testing, pass/fail lights, built-in Wi-Fi that uploads results straight to the app, mains or battery operation — and it's the only tester on the market rated to 15 amps, so you can test caravans, boats and heavy-duty leads safely.
Do I have to buy the kit to use the software?
No. The software works with any tester — enter results manually or record pass/fail. The kit just makes everything automatic.
What types of tags can the printer produce?
Regular test tags, small tags for phone chargers and compact plugs, RCD tags showing trip times, and new-to-service tags — all ribbon-free with your logo and a QR code.
Compliance & AS/NZS 3760
Is Clevermode compliant with AS/NZS 3760?
Yes. Clevermode is built around AS/NZS 3760, the Australian and New Zealand standard for in-service safety inspection and testing of electrical equipment. Records, tags and reports include the details needed for workplace compliance and audits.
Does Clevermode track retest dates?
Yes. Every tagged appliance carries its retest date, and the full test history is stored against the asset — scan the tag's QR code to see it.
Can clients use Clevermode reports for audits?
Yes. Reports are professional PDF documents listing each appliance, its test results and retest dates — exactly what auditors and safety officers ask for.
Does Clevermode record RCD trip times?
Yes. RCD test results, including trip times, are recorded and can be printed on dedicated RCD tags.
